Common questions
Is my donation tax-deductible in Australia?

HGA is not currently a registered DGR charity, so donations are not tax-deductible. We're upfront about this. If tax-deductibility matters to you, we'd recommend ADRA Australia — a registered DGR charity doing excellent community development work in Nepal that we know and trust.

How do I know the money reaches the right people?

We publish a 6-monthly spending report and can share receipts and photos of completed work on request. Our team visits these communities multiple times a year. Contact us if you'd like to see the details.

Can I donate to a specific project?

Yes — contact us before donating and we'll direct your gift to the project of your choice.

Who is behind this — is HGA a charity?

HGA is an Australian-registered small business that has been operating treks in the Lower Manaslu region since 2015. We're not a registered charity, but we operate with full financial transparency and a genuine long-term commitment to the Nepal trekking community we work with. Any questions? Get in touch.
