This trek is designed for anyone who wishes to really challenge themselves.  This remote trek goes over two spectacular high passes and traverses beneath the massive peaks of Himalchuli 7893 m and Manaslu 8165m. You will be taken through one of the most breathtaking regions of the world! Trekking through the remote and untouristed Rupina La region and the Manaslu Conservation area, you will be provided with a new way to experience Nepal. Far from the crowds of the Everest and Annapurna regions. We have developed and tested an itinerary which allows for a spectacular return journey off the main tourist trail.

Thank you for your interest in our Manaslu Base Camp Via Rupina La Expedition.  

This magnificent and remote trek goes over two spectacular high passes and traverses beneath the massive peaks of Himalchuli 7893 m and Manaslu 8165 m. Our self contained, full-service tented trek to the remote and untouristed Rupina La and the Manaslu Conservation area provides a new way to experience Nepal, far from the crowds of the Everest and Annapurna regions, in some of the world’s most spectacular country.

  • A 27-day trip,  including 23 days fully catered trek

ITINERARY

Arrive Kathmandu (1400m) and transfer to Hotel in Thamel. The trip officially commences. Tea on arrival. gear check, distribution of kit bags and meeting around 430pm. Dinner at Bon Appetit or similar restaurant near the hotel around 630pm.

Breakfast at hotel at around 730am, gear check, walk to Monkey Temple (optional), free time for shopping and exploration of Kathmandu and dinner at Bon Appetit. Packing gear into kitbags and day packs and weighing of luggage.

  • Transfers to and from Kathmandu Airport to Hotel

  • Accommodation (twin-share) in Kathmandu at a nice hotel such as Mums Hotel in Thamel. Private room extra charge.

  • Breakfasts in Kathmandu at your Hotel

  • Internal transport to trek start and finish points in private bus and or jeep.

  • Porter to carry all your gear (max 15 kg each)

  • Experienced Australian guide, qualified in Wilderness First Aid to accompany from Kathmandu

  • Comprehensive Expedition medical kit including, Gamow Bag

  • All meals at lodges and in tented camps on the trek

  • 3-man tents for two people per tent. (private tent extra charge)

ACCOMMODATION

In Kathmandu, we normally stay at Mums Home Hotel, a funky and welcoming 3-star hotel close to Thamel. It has big rooms, great showers and beds, good WIFI, a beaut breakfast and very helpful staff. It is a home for us and we hope you like it too. Twin-share accommodation is included in your trip price, however, there is a range of rooms from singles to a family apartment that can be arranged at an extra cost.

When tenting we use only the most proven tents made in Australia specifically for the purpose. They are 3 person tents which are allocated to two.
